THE GUESTHOUSE Accommodation +
Restadshöjd was completely renovated in 2023. The bright 32 m² guesthouse has a fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom with shower and sleeping space for up to four guests.
The separate bedroom has a door, wardrobe, a small work desk and an IKEA Hemnes sofa bed that opens to 160 × 200 cm.
The living room and kitchen area has a TV with Chromecast and a second sofa bed for two guests, approximately 144 × 200 cm. The accommodation is compact, so when four guests are staying it can be useful to fold this bed away during the daytime to create more space and easier access to the bathroom.
The refrigerator is close to the living-room sofa bed and may be noticeable at night for very sensitive sleepers, although no guest has reported this as a problem so far.
The kitchen includes an induction hob, microwave, full-size oven, coffee maker, kettle, fridge and freezer, glasses, tableware and a dining table for four. A high chair (IKEA Antilop) is available.
The bathroom has a washbasin, mirror cabinet, shower, towel shelf and radiator.
Outside is a small seating area on gravel next to the guesthouse, with two chairs, a sofa and cushions stored in a cushion box. A canopy is normally available from June to August, and longer if the weather allows.

The guesthouse is a separate ground-floor building with its own entrance and code lock, approximately 10 metres from our main house.
You have the accommodation to yourselves during your stay, with parking directly on the property.
USEFUL BEFORE YOU BOOK Good to know +
- Hot water: The water heater holds 50 litres (2000W), which is typical for smaller Swedish houses. If all hot water is used, reheating takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Short showers normally provide enough hot water for everyone.
- Cleaning, linen and towels: Cleaning is included, as are duvets, pillows, bed linen, sheets and one set of towels per guest and stay, for indoor use.
- Bed linen: For hygiene reasons, please use the bed linen we provide rather than your own linen, sleeping bags or similar. Duvets and pillows may only be used with our bed linen.
- Car required: A car is required both to reach the accommodation and to explore the surrounding area comfortably.
- Garden pond: There is a small garden pond, approximately 2 × 2 metres, with goldfish.
- Bees: We are beekeepers and have a few beehives at the edge of the property.
- Countryside: As the house is surrounded by nature, insects may occasionally appear both outdoors and indoors. An electric fly swatter is available.
- Tap water: Swedish tap water is safe to drink, and ours is of very good quality.
- Bookings: Bookings through agents are not accepted. The person making the booking must also be one of the guests staying at the accommodation.

Restadshöjd is in peaceful countryside surrounded by open fields, nature and grazing horses and cows.
About 20 minutes by car from Marstrand and roughly 35–40 minutes from central Gothenburg. The exact address is shared with confirmed guests.
A car is the practical way to get around. The surrounding country roads are also popular for cycling and walking.
Free park-and-ride parking is available about 3 km away, close to bus connections towards Marstrand, Kungälv and Gothenburg. Rörtången beach, Tempo Kareby, Dannes Pizzeria and the local petrol station are all easy to reach by car.
