Grundsund

Fishing Village at the Edge of Bohuslän

Nestled on the western tip of Skaftö in Lysekil Municipality, Grundsund is a well‑preserved fishing village with around 616 residents. Its narrow island streets, colorful boathouses, and lively canal are reminders of a prosperous past fueled by herring fishing from the 17th century onward . The iconic canal bridge—where Ösö meets Skaftölandet—is a popular photo stop for both locals and visitors.
